Owen Native Foods is proud to seasonally sell our Cacapon™ West Virginia Pawpaws and other select variety pawpaw seedlings. Our native Cacapon™ variety bears fruits that can weigh over a half pound each, and do to its source in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia, it is hardier than other similar cultivars sourced from nearby, but more mild climates. The fruit has a strong tropical aroma and the fruit has a wonderful creamy, custardy texture with a superb balance of flavor that blends hints of banana and mango.

ONF doesn’t waste much so post harvest we have a fresh stock of Cacapon™ Pawpaw seeds for sale. Save money and grow your own trees. They come with damp peat moss and are ready to be stratified throughout the winter in your fridge and planted in the spring.
Commercial Wholesale Customers:
ONF can source bulk orders for pawpaw branches/bark/twigs for use in products such as insecticides and cancer fighting treatments. Extracts made from naturally occurring chemicals in pawpaw have shown great promise in the fighting cancer tumors and homeopathic remedies. Further, the extracts have been used in skin creams, insecticides, bug repellents, and homeopathic lice remedies. We are currently accepting bids for fall/winter 2014 bulk sales, which will begin fulfillment soon.
ONF is currently accepting 2015 bulk fruit bids from retailers. Once bidding is complete, we locally source the following year’s fruit crop so contact us today.
ONF can source bulk ripe fruit orders for distillers and brewers. Some of the newest micro-brews are now are being made with pawpaws and pawpaw extracts. We are proud to support pawpaw beers and their brewers and are accepting sourcing bids now for the 2015 harvest season.
